Curious Cake Shoppe Cakes- Cute AND Structurally Sound!

One of our most recent gift recipients was an Engineer over at the Corp. The cake was presented to him at a baby shower, where I am told he very carefully picked it up. A smile crept upon his face as declared the cake "structurally sound." He complimented the cake's "reinforced structure," which was enjoyed by the Structural Section that had pooled together to purchase the gift for him and his wife.

So there you have it folks! The Curious Cake Shoppe Cakes are not only adorable, but structurally sound as deemed by the USACE (unofficially, of course).

The Shoppe lost power last night (along with half of Dallas). Some pretty intense rain and tornado-esque winds keep us down for almost 7 hours, but we kept busy!

We finished this custom cake last week, and frankly, we are a little smitten with it. It was a gift shipment that made it's way to it's destination today!

Sigh. Seems like just yesterday it was a pile of diapers. They grow up so fast.
